How To Define Your Personal Brand
Personal Branding is about communicating your value, in other words, your Personal Brand. However, before jumping into action to promote yourself in your organisation, look for a better job, or attract clients, a very important part of Personal Branding, for it to be authentic and effective, is how you define your Personal Brand.
You can't communicate and grow your Personal Brand if you don't know (or clearly articulate) what your Personal Brand is about.
Defining your Personal Brand means defining your identity, your purpose and your unique value proposition.
Your identity obviously refers to who you are, but how well do you know yourself? What are your core values? What are your strengths? What's your story?
Your purpose is your Why. Why do you do what you do? What do you see possible for yourself in the future? What's your vision for your industry or community?
Your unique value proposition is everything that makes you and what you have to offer different and compelling compared to your peers or competitors.
